Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, by Tennesse Williams, Nonfiction 812.54 WIL
Margaret and Brick are two of the many characters in this intensely moving play that definitely keeps you turning the pages to see how they will resolve their family problems as they get ready to attend a birthday party for a member of the older generation. I viewed this play on stage too. Truly intense!
Chosen by a Horse: a Memoir, by Susan Richards, Nonfiction 636.1 RIC
I enjoyed and recommend this book for women who love horses. It’s a true story of one woman’s experiences with a sickly mare she picked up at the SPCA. The mare chose her to save its life. She does so through patience and love, and spares no expense. Very descriptive narrative.

What the Eyes Don’t See, by Mona Hanna-Attisha, New Nonfiction 615.925 HAN
Written by the doctor who sounded the alarm and led the fight about the Flint water crisis. The crisis was about water that GM didn’t use in their factories because it corroded their machines, but was still given to the people of Flint. This is a thoroughly well done account of her taking on the indifference of city, state, and federal agencies to advocate for the city’s children. This is a must read if you have a passion for social justice, public health, education, and/or exploring the incredible injustices faced by those living in poverty. This is an excellent book. Highly recommended.
